Soccer Recap: Montgomery Academy's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Montgomery Academy proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. Their defense stepped up to hand the Mountain Brook Spartans a 1-0 shutout. The Eagles' winning goal came courtesy of Sophia Cho.

The win (which was Montgomery Academy's seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 29 goals over those seven contests. As for Mountain Brook, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Montgomery Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Auburn at 5:00 p.m. on March 25th. As for Mountain Brook, they will welcome Spain Park at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
