Preview: Oak Hill Golden Eagles vs. Alexandria-Monroe Tigers
Oak Hill is 7-2 against Alexandria-Monroe since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Oak Hill Golden Eagles will look to defend their home court against the Alexandria-Monroe Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Oak Hill strolled past Eastbrook with points to spare, taking the game 53-39. The win made it back-to-back wins for Oak Hill.
Oak Hill found their leader in underclassman Jace Tonagel, who scored 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Fagan, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Alexandria-Monroe beat Clinton Central 60-52 on Saturday.
Oak Hill is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season. As for Alexandria-Monroe, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Everything came up roses for Oak Hill against Alexandria-Monroe in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 64-23 win. Does Oak Hill have another victory up their sleeve, or will Alexandria-Monroe turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
