Sullivan County had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They put the hurt on the Millville Quakers with a sharp 11-4 win. The Griffins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by seven runs or more this season.

Emilia Viveiros spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on eight hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Sullivan County let Mariah Hallabuk and Miley Dickinson run wild. Hallabuk got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Dickinson got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Hallabuk is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Anna Mazzoleni also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Sullivan County pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Millville, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sullivan County will take on Northeast Bradford at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Griffins' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season. As for Millville, they will challenge Muncy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Quakers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
