Baseball Recap: Rivercrest Takes a Loss

After flying high against Marked Tree on Friday, Rivercrest came back down to earth. The Colts fell just short of the Newport Greyhounds by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Greyhounds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-4 back in March.

Rivercrest's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-12. As for Newport, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

Rivercrest will host Harrisburg at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Newport, they will take on Rose Bud at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
