Baseball Game Preview: Lowell Red Devils vs. Portage Indians

The Lowell Red Devils will head out on the road to challenge the Portage Indians at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Lowell and five for Portage.

On Tuesday, Lowell came up short against Andrean and fell 7-3.

Lowell saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Camden Mikulich, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Portage didn't have quite enough to beat Lake Central on Wednesday and fell 5-3.

Portage's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8-1. As for Lowell, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Lowell was able to grind out a solid win over Portage in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 3-0. Will the Red Devils repeat their success, or do the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
