Chowchilla is a perfect 4-0 against Minarets since April of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Tribe will look to defend their home field against the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. Chowchilla is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
Chowchilla barely beat Caruthers the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tribe blew past the Blue Raiders 21-4 on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Tribe considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Ava Diaz made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Rylee Vlot was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Hadley Ray, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Chowchilla was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They are 8-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Minarets came up short against Liberty on Thursday, falling 13-1. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Hawks: they've now lost six in a row.
Chowchilla pushed their record up to 10-8 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Minarets, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.
Everything went Chowchilla's way against Minarets when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Chowchilla made off with an 11-1 victory. Do the Tribe have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
