Basketball Recap: North Shore Takes a Loss

North Shore lost against Cypress Ranch back in December of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The North Shore Mustangs fell just short of the Cypress Ranch Mustangs by a score of 50-48. North Shore has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, North Shore saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sean Mayberry went 8 of 13 en route to 19 points and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mayberry has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Da'Marcus Sloan, who posted nine points.

North Shore's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Cypress Ranch, their victory bumped their record up to 11-9.

North Shore didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-31 win against Dekaney on the 28th. As for Cypress Ranch, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 52-47 victory against Pasadena Memorial on the 28th.
