Basketball Recap: Klamath Union Pelicans vs. Bend Lava Bears
Klamath Union suffered their biggest defeat since February 20, 2024 on Friday. They lost 81-61 to the Bend Lava Bears. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (58), the Pelicans still had to take the loss.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bend to victory, but perhaps none more so than Max Duncan, who went 8 of 12 on his way to 19 points in addition to six steals and five assists. Those 19 points gave Duncan a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Unruh, who went 9 for 13 on his way to 22 points and five rebounds.
Klamath Union dropped their record down to 5-6 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Bend, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
