Lafayette Central Catholic's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ray Clayton, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Clayton has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikey Stapleton, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds.
Lafayette Central Catholic's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points per game. As for Benton Central, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.
