Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Merrill). They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 48-12 win over the St. Charles Bulldogs. The Vandals pushed the score to 40-12 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bulldogs had little chance of recovering from.

The victory (which was Merrill's fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.0 points over those games. As for St. Charles, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Merrill will square off against Potterville at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for St. Charles, they will challenge Carson City-Crystal at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
