Soccer Recap: McNeil Comes Up Short

McNeil was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cedar Ridge Raiders. While losing is never fun, McNeil can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 270th, while Cedar Ridge are ranked 104th).

McNeil's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12-2. As for Cedar Ridge, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6-5.

Coincidentally, McNeil and Cedar Ridge will both be playing Manor the next time they take the pitch. The Mavericks will host the Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Raiders will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
