Ben Davis and Avon are an even 5-5 against one another since August of 2017, but not for long. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As a matter of fact, Ben Davis put up the most points they have all season last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat North Central 69-35. The Giants haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Ben Davis found their leader in freshman Gabe Kennett, who threw for 370 yards and eight TDs while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushed for 35 yards and one score. Those 370 passing yards set a new season-high mark for Kennett. Da'Vion Davis was another key player, picking up 225 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Ben Davis was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 293 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Avon made easy work of Noblesville last Friday and carried off a 31-10 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Orioles' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Millers are ranked 74th).
