Volleyball Recap: Decatur Takes a Loss

After flying high against Athens on Monday, Decatur came back down to earth. The Red Raiders fell just short of the West Morgan Rebels by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The Red Raiders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rebels earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Caroline Coulter paced Decatur's offense, picking up 14 kills. Coulter got some help from Sarah Roberts and her 13 assists. Harper Douglas and Emma-Glenn Roby kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Decatur's defeat dropped their record down to 12-18. As for West Morgan, their win bumped their record up to 15-18.

Decatur has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Decatur Heritage Christian Academy on the 25th. As for West Morgan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Priceville on the 25th.
