Basketball Game Preview: Midwest Central Raiders vs. St. Thomas More Sabers

Having just played yesterday, the Midwest Central Raiders will jump right back in to play the St. Thomas More Sabers at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Midwest Central has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 10.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 70-34, which was the final score in Midwest Central's tilt against PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 663rd, while the Bluejays are ranked 184th).

Meanwhile, St. Thomas More can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They strolled past St. Teresa with points to spare, taking the game 60-42.

St. Thomas More's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9. As for Midwest Central, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13.
