Baseball Recap: Edmonds-Woodway Takes a Loss

Edmonds-Woodway suffered their closest defeat since May 24, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Stanwood Spartans by a score of 2-0. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Finn Crawford spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits.

Edmonds-Woodway's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-4. As for Stanwood, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 8-0.

Coming up, Edmonds-Woodway will face off against Monroe at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Stanwood, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 6-1 win against Port Angeles on the 5th.
