Junior point guard Ashton Hagans commits to Kentucky

Elite junior point guard
Ashton Hagans of
Newton (Covington, Ga.) announced via Twitter on Tuesday morning that he is committed to Kentucky.
Hagans becomes UK's second major addition in as many days, joining Class of 2018 five-star forward and fellow Georgia star
E.J. Montgomery of
Wheeler (Marietta, Ga.).
The 6-foot-4 point guard averaged 20.1 points, 10.7 assists and 7.7 rebounds per game as a junior at Newton, leading the Rams to a 27-4 record and Class AAAAAAA semifinals.
Hagans is pegged as the No. 8 overall prospect in the Class of 2019 by
247Sports. Kentucky also has a commitment from junior forward
DJ Jeffries of
Olive Branch (Miss.), the No. 26 prospect in 2019.
