Softball Recap: Williamstown Comes Up Short

Williamstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 8-0 to the Oak Glen Golden Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-1 on Saturday.

Williamstown's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Oak Glen, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-6.

Looking ahead, Williamstown will challenge Charleston Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Oak Glen, they will square off against Lakewood at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday. The Gators have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.5 runs per game on average), something the Golden Bears will no doubt try to take advantage of.
