Basketball Recap: Eagle Mountain Takes a Loss

After flying high against Castleberry two weeks ago, Eagle Mountain came back down to earth. The Eagle Mountain Knights were dealt a 90-13 loss at the hands of the Decatur Eagles on Friday. The matchup marked the Knights' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Eagle Mountain dropped their record down to 2-15 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Decatur, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 21-3.

Eagle Mountain will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Burkburnett at 5:00 p.m. on January 14th. As for Decatur, they will square off against Springtown at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Decatur knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Springtown likes a good challenge.
