Volleyball Recap: Potter-Dix Comes Up Short

Potter-Dix was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mitchell Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Coyotes of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-12.

Alexa Shoemaker paced Potter-Dix's offense, picking up four kills. Shoemaker got some help from Micayla McConnell and her eight assists. Kenzie Shoemaker controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Potter-Dix's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Mitchell, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Potter-Dix wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Hay Springs on the 12th. As for Mitchell, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Kimball on the 11th.
