Softball Recap: Trinity Episcopal Extends Home Winning Streak to 11

Trinity Episcopal faced Kenston Forest in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Titans narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Kavaliers 3-2. The win was nothing new for the Titans as they're now sitting on five straight.

Cooper Beatty was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Beatty was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brooke Shelton, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Magovern Rollins, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Trinity Episcopal's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Kenston Forest, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-3.
