Softball Recap: Laguardia Makes It Five in a Row at Home

Laguardia proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 25) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Bronx High School of Science Wolverines 2-1.

Laguardia pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.4 runs over those games. As for Bronx High School of Science, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.

Coming up, Laguardia will face off against Roosevelt Educational at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Laguardia are facing the Roughriders at the right time seeing as the Roughriders are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Bronx High School of Science, they will welcome Health Profession at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Health Profession has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13 runs per game on average), something Bronx High School of Science will no doubt try to take advantage of.
