Football Recap: Gruver Takes a Loss

After flying high against Spearman two weeks ago, Gruver came back down to earth. The Greyhounds fell 36-28 to the West Texas Comanches on Friday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Gruver's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for West Texas, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coming up, Gruver will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Clarendon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for West Texas, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Tulia at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
