Basketball Recap: Clayton Yellowjackets vs. Raton Tigers
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Clayton). They enjoyed a cozy 72-57 win over the Raton Tigers on Tuesday. Given the Yellowjackets' advantage in MaxPreps' New Mexico basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Tigers are ranked 31st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Raton still got an impressive performance from Chase Walton, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 boards. Walton is also crushing it when it comes to blocks: he's posted at least three every time he's taken the court this season.
