McGregor came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Cook County, but Parker Backstrom wouldn't allow it. The Vikings secured a 58-52 W over the Mercuries on Friday with plenty of help from Backstrom, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds. He also grabbed three steals, which is notable because Cook County is undefeated when he posts at least three steals, but 2-4 otherwise.

Another player making a difference was Grant Oberg, who posted ten points along with five boards and three steals. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played.

Cook County now has a winning record of 5-4. As for McGregor, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cook County will host South Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight. As for McGregor, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Bigfork at 1:15 p.m.
