Softball Recap: All S Snags Fifth Win in Last Six Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Legacy Christian Academy, All S was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Grapevine Faith Christian Lions by a score of 6-2. This was payback for the Saints, who suffered a 10-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Heidi Peterson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 18 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in April of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, Maggie Meyer was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Aubrey Greer, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one double.

All S has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. Grapevine Faith Christian's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: All S beat Grapevine Faith Christian by a score of 17-2 on Friday.
