Volleyball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is Lake Central's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

Illiana Christian came into Wednesday's match looking for another win against Lake Central, but Juan Flores wouldn't allow it. The Indians blew past the Vikings 3-0 on Wednesday thanks in part to Flores, who had 17 digs and two assists. He is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 15 or more in each of the last six games he's played.

Lake Central walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-22, 26-24.

Lake Central has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for Illiana Christian, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lake Central will square off against rival Michigan City at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Illiana Christian is set to challenge their familiar foe Kankakee Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
