Laney is 9-1 against North Brunswick since January of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Laney Buccaneers will host the North Brunswick Scorpions at 8:00 p.m. Laney is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.2 points per game this season.
Last Thursday, Laney got the win against Topsail by a conclusive 67-46. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-18.

Laney's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Colin Lamb led the charge by going 6-for-12 en route to 13 points. Lamb is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last five games he's played. Dylan Fortun was another key player, going 6-for-9 to rack up 17 points.
Meanwhile, North Brunswick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 64-51 to Ashley.
Laney will have to contain Kane Jenrette as he made an impact in North Brunswick's last game. He dropped a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of John Fanning, who posted eight points.
Even though they lost, North Brunswick smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 25 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in nine consecutive games.
Laney is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.8 points. As for North Brunswick, their loss dropped their record down to 8-15.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Laney has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 31.1 boards per game. However, it's not like North Brunswick struggles in that department as they've been averaging 35.6 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Everything came up roses for Laney against North Brunswick when the teams last played on Tuesday, as the team secured a 74-42 victory. In that match, Laney amassed a halftime lead of 40-19, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
