Basketball Recap: Ellsworth Skates Past Plainville with Ease

Ellsworth won the last time they faced Plainville and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Ellsworth Bearcats took their matchup with ease, bagging a 59-24 win over the Plainville Cardinals. Given the Bearcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Cardinals are ranked 293rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ellsworth's victory bumped their record up to 7-4-1. As for Plainville, they dropped their record down to 3-9 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ellsworth has already played their next contest (against Southeast of Saline), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Plainville will venture away from home to face off against Trego at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Trego has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
