Softball Recap: Warren Comes Up Short

Warren was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They lost 22-2 to the Kirbyville Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-0 back in March.

Warren's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Kirbyville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Warren will challenge Orangefield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bobcats will roll in looking for their 15th straight win, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Kirbyville, they will head out to square off against Buna at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
