TJ O'Brien commands the offense for Gators win

Recap: Sacred Heart Prep Gators vs. Menlo School Knights

The Sacred Heart Prep Gators had already won four in a row dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.3 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They took down Menlo School 57-42. Given Sacred Heart Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 94th, while Menlo School is ranked 269th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sacred Heart Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from TJ O'Brien, who scored 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Wagner, who scored 16 points.

Sacred Heart Prep is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Menlo School, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.

Sacred Heart Prep will head out on the road to take on Harker at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Harker has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 5. As for Menlo School, they will be playing at home against Eastside College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
