Volleyball Recap: Harvest-Westminster Gets the Win

After losing to Yorkville Christian the last time they met, Harvest-Westminster decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Warrior-Lions came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warrior-Lions.

While Harvest-Westminster might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Yorkville Christian scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-18.

Amelia Herther was the offensive standout of the match as she had 15 digs and one assist. That's the most digs she has posted over her last eight contests.

Harvest-Westminster's victory bumped their record up to 14-11. As for Yorkville Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-15-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Harvest-Westminster will head out to face off against Marian Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Yorkville Christian, they will venture away from home to challenge Coal City at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
