Volleyball Recap: Chula Vista Comes Up Short

Chula Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Otay Ranch Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2021.

Chula Vista's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Otay Ranch, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Chula Vista wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Grossmont on the 30th. As for Otay Ranch, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Central on the 30th.
