Gilbert Christian came tearing into Wednesday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the North Valley Christian Academy Lions.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 20-25, 25-21, 25-12.

Gilbert Christian can attribute much of their success to Talon Heafey, who had 16 digs and two aces. Reed Mills also deserves some recognition as he had his first block of the season.

Gilbert Christian picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 6-7. As for North Valley Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gilbert Christian will face off against St. John Paul II Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Valley Christian Academy, they will head out to face off against Kingman at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
