Recap: Patuxent vs. Westlake
After losing to Westlake the last time they met, Patuxent decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Patuxent made easy work of Westlake on Friday and carried off a 27-6 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with seven in a row now.
Patuxent's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Adam Commodore, who rushed for 88 yards and one TD on nine carries, and Dajore Brooks, who picked up 106 yards on the ground on 12 carries. The Panthers received support from Brooks on the other side of the ball, too, as he amassed ten tackles. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse Aj Johnson, who racked up nine tackles.
Patuxent will stay at home on Friday against La Plata at 7 p.m. ET. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps rankings project a close contest. Westlake's road trip will continue as they head to Potomac's turf on Friday. Westlake doesn't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
