Baseball Recap: Service Falls Short Against Ranked Eagle River

Service faced Eagle River in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Cougars fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 4-3. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolves earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Rilen Niclai made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Kegan Lennox also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Service has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-4 record this season. As for Eagle River, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-3-2.

As of now, neither Service nor the Wolves have any future games scheduled.
