Meanwhile, in Saturday's Canine Competition, Grandview prevailed. Their defense stepped up to hand Ellensburg a 1-0 shutout on Saturday. The victory continues a trend for Grandview in their matchups with Ellensburg: they've now won three in a row.

Grandview's win bumped their record up to 5-2-1. As for Othello, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3-1.
