Football Game Preview: Bryant Owls vs. Eagle Academy III Eagles

The Bryant Owls will square off against the Eagle Academy III Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are still undefeated (Bryant has three wins , while Eagle Academy III has 15 dating back to last season).

Bryant's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Sunday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Columbus 28-0. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Owls just coasted through the last quarter.

Mahdi Kobeissi looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 91 yards on only six carries, while also throwing for 95 yards and one TD on only nine passes. His longest rush was for an impressive 62 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. A healthy portion of Kobeissi's aerial production (87 yards to be exact) went to Adam Oueriaguli.

Meanwhile, Eagle Academy III put their dominant defense on display in the team's fifth consecutive shutout on Sunday. Everything went their way against Springfield Gardens as they made off with a 26-0 victory. Fans of the Eagles have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Eagle Academy III's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Bryant, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
