Preview: Galileo Lions vs. Balboa Buccaneers
Galileo has been on the road for two straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Balboa Buccaneers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
On Monday, Galileo ended up a good deal behind Washington and lost 75-58. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Galileo in their matchups with Washington: they've now lost three in a row.
After soaring to a 20-point win in their last game, Balboa came back down to earth on Monday. They fell just short of Mission by a score of 74-72. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Wednesday (71), Balboa still had to take the loss.
Galileo's defeat dropped their record down to 15-13. As for Balboa, they dropped their record down to 7-17 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Galileo didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Balboa when the teams last played last Friday, but they still walked away with a 54-50 victory. Does Galileo have another victory up their sleeve, or will Balboa turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
