Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 4-5. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 74-71 heartbreaker at the hands of the Wayne Christian Eagles. Even if the Lion couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Caleb Worsham, who shot 62% from the field to rack up 17 points and seven boards. He has also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 62% every time he's hit the court this season. Hudson Rogers was another key player, going 5-for-9 on his way to 15 points.

As for Wayne Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5. The win almost wasn't to be: they were down 38-24 in the second quarter.

Wayne Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nasir Greenfield led the charge by shooting 60% from the field en route to 25 points and three steals. As for Wayne Christian, they will welcome Rocky Mount Academy at 8:30 p.m. on Monday. Wayne Christian will be up against Rocky Mount Academy's rather soft defense (which has allowed 51.11 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
