Softball Recap: Jordan-Elbridge Comes Up Short

Jordan-Elbridge had lost three straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 4-7 to make it four. They came up short against the Marcellus Mustangs, falling 17-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 last Thursday.

As for Marcellus, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2. Considering they have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Marcellus' part, Maddy Richer was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan O'Connor, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Coincidentally, Jordan-Elbridge and Marcellus will both be playing Westhill the next time they take the field. The Mustangs will host the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
