Softball Recap: Red Lion Lions vs. Warwick Warriors
After flying high against Dallastown on May 6th, Red Lion came back down to earth. The Red Lion Lions lost 16-1 to the Warwick Warriors on Monday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest runs Red Lion has scored all season.
For Warwick's part, Kate Shaak looked comfortable as she pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.
At the plate, Warwick got a massive performance out of BELLA SMITHSON, who went 3-for-4 with two triples, five RBI, and three runs. MADISEN MINNEY was another key contributor, going 3-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and two RBI.
Red Lion's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Warwick, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.
Red Lion does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Warwick, they will head out on the road to take on Hempfield at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hempfield is coming into the contest with ten straight victories at home, so Warwick will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
