Basketball Recap: Southern Wins Going Away Against Northern Garrett

Southern posted their biggest win since January 11th on Friday. They blew past the Northern Garrett Huskies 78-54. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Southern had a senior duo take command as Brayden Upole went 9 of 17 en route to 22 points along with six assists and three steals and Jared Haskiell went 7 for 14 to rack up 19 points. The matchup was Haskiell's 14th in a row with at least 15 points. Jacob Brown was another key player, putting up 11 points and five assists.

Southern's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Northern Garrett, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Coming up, Southern will face off against Keyser at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northern Garrett, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 82-40 defeat against Fort Hill on the 8th.
