Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Highland Springs). Everything went their way against the Hopewell Blue Devils on Monday as they made off with a 24-3 win. Considering the Springers have won five contests by more than 11 runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Highland Springs is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Hopewell, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.

Highland Springs wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 18-10 win against Henrico on the 20th. As for Hopewell, they will venture away from home to face off against Thomas Dale at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
