It was a good run, but Denby unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Monday. They came up short against East English Village Prep, falling 18-0. The Tars were red-hot at the plate heading into the match (they scored no less than ten runs in the six games prior), but East English Village Prep's pitchers proved too tough.

Denby's loss dropped their record down to 11-5-1. As for East English Village Prep, their win bumped their record up to 8-2-1.

Denby will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Henry Ford Academy: School for Creative Studies at 12:30 p.m. on the 30th. The Mustangs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.29 runs per game on average), something the Tars will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for East English Village Prep, they will face off against King at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. East English Village Prep will need to watch out since the Crusaders have now posted at least ten runs in their last 11 contests.
