Football Game Preview: Philadelphia Tornadoes vs. Noxubee County Tigers

The Philadelphia Tornadoes will square off against the Noxubee County Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Philadelphia comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Philadelphia is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against West Lauderdale on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Tornadoes were beaten by the Knights 35-6. The Tornadoes were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.

Meanwhile, Noxubee County faced Louisville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Tigers took a 25-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats.

Philadelphia will have to contain Laderoun Mosely as he made an impact in Noxubee County's last game. He rushed for 101 yards and one touchdown on only 14 carries. Mosely is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 101 every time he's taken the field this season.

Philadelphia's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Noxubee County, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Philadelphia was taken down by Noxubee County 39-7 when the teams last played back in September of 2024. Thankfully for the Tornadoes, Kamario Taylor (who threw for 220 yards and four TDs, and also rushed for 50 yards and one score) won't be suiting up this time.
