Recap: El Primero Lobos vs. Justin Garza Guardians

On Monday, El Primero was beaten by Justin Garza 95-36. While losing is never fun, El Primero can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1303rd, while Justin Garza is ranked 573rd).

When it comes to explaining why El Primero lost, one person who can't be blamed is RICARDO GARCIA. Despite the final result, he scored seven points along with ten rebounds and five blocks. GARCIA is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. JOSH CHAVEZ was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds.

El Primero's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Justin Garza, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. El Primero has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on December 20th. Justin Garza won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Greenfield at 5:00 p.m. on December 19th. Greenfield is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
