Softball Preview: Rock Island Rocks vs. Brimfield Indians

Rock Island has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Brimfield Indians at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Rock Island will head into Thursday's match on the come-up: they were handed a two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Quincy on Thursday. Rock Island blew past Quincy 8-2. With that win, Rock Island brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.

A'Rion Lonergan was incredible, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Mallory Hudnall was another key contributor, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Brimfield never let their opponents score on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Macomb as Brimfield made off with a 14-0 victory.
