Volleyball Recap: Smithville Warriors vs. Park Hill Trojans
After flying high against Central on Tuesday, Smithville came back down to earth. The Warriors fell 3-1 to the Park Hill Trojans on Thursday. The Warriors were not able to make up for their loss to the Trojans from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.
The final score came out to 25-15, 23-25, 25-21, 25-20.
Jaycee Tyrrell paced Smithville's offense, picking up 13 kills. Tyrrell got some help from Lexie Seifert and her 25 assists. Emma Swenson controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Park Hill was led to victory by Brooke Brown and Addyson Staples. Brown had 15 digs and three assists, while Staples had six digs and two aces. Brown is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last six games she's played dating back to last season.
Smithville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Park Hill, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
Smithville has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Benton on the 6th. Park Hill has also already played their next game (against Liberty North), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
