Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Defeat Ends Morgan's Winning Streak

After a string of 14 wins, Morgan's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 3-1 to the North Sanpete Hawks. If the Trojans were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Hawks when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kenna Buss paced Morgan's offense, picking up 14 kills. Buss got some help from Kate Brewer and her 22 assists. Lauren Anderson controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Morgan's loss dropped their record down to 21-5. As for North Sanpete, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 26-0.

Looking ahead, Morgan will square off against Layton Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Sanpete, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Canyon View on the 11th.
