Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Destinee Tapia and Layla Walker Lead Churchill County to Victory + How To Watch

Churchill County won the last time they faced Wooster and things went their way on Thursday too. The Greenwave blew past the Colts 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Greenwave.

Churchill County not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Wooster between 13 and 16 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-13, 25-14.

Leading Churchill County to victory were Layla Walker and Destinee Tapia. Walker had 20 assists and five digs, while Tapia had six digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Tapia a new career-high. Audrey Fruzza also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Churchill County's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Wooster, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Churchill County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Rocky Mountain on the 29th. As for Wooster, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Lowry on the 30th.
